Our Team

Derek HsiangDEREK HSIANG is the co-owner, CEO, CFO, CTO, VP of Strategy, Marketing Manager, Webmaster, Stringer, Videographer, and King of Solow Sports. Since he's the co-owner, he's at liberty to make up meaningless titles for himself for his own amusement. He's also a a violin and viola teacher, the violist for the Dolce String Quartet, and a freelance business strategy consultant. Since he doesn't have enough jobs, he's applying for yours too. Also, you can buy his used stuff here.

Doris MaffiaDORIS MAFFIA is the co-owner and former General Manager of Tennisport, Inc. She knows everyone in the tennis industry in the Tri-State area and is attempting to become acquainted with the rest of the country. And she'll do it one phone call at a time, because she keeps it personal.

Christian BormannCHRISTIAN BORMANN is our resident racquet reviewer, assistant to the regional manager, customer service representative, inventory control specialist, stringer, and teaching pro. He spends much of his time maniacally tweaking his racquets in a neverending quest for his holy grail. As a result, he never uses the same racquet for more than 6 weeks. This behavioral anomaly is rooted in his ADHD, which is readily apparent any time you try to have a conversation with him lasting longer than 7 seconds.

OLIVIA AMMIRATI holds one of the top rankings in the Long Island Region Girls 18's, and is the newest addition to our growing roster. First and foremost, she's a customer sales representative with a smile that will convince you to buy anything within your field of vision. But when she's not helping customers, she assists Doris and Derek as our resident fashion consultant for our apparel and footwear department because she knows how to be professionally good looking. It runs in her family. Seriously.

ANDREW BENTZ is our talented new stringer and customer service representative. Although he's still in high school, he posseses an encyclopedic knowledge of racquets and can crank out quality string jobs. We barely needed to train him. He loves cookies.
